Hello and welcome! I’m Mohammed Rashith KP, a mechanical engineer with a knack for problem solving . My Curiosity has driven me to explore diverse fields and my project requirements pushed me to consume enough knowledge to get the job done without getting overwhelmed and without getting dragged into the rabbit-hole of trying to be an expert in everything.

My Journey

I started my journey of cool technologies shortly after my acceptance to National Institute of Technology Calicut where I was exposed to various technologies spanning across the fields of mechanical engineering , robotics and software development.I started my coding journey in first year and finished mastering Python by the end of third semester.I had taken a course named Python For Everybody offered by Michigan School of Information through Coursera.By that time , I was inducted to robotics club which had a big impact on my life down the years.

Being in robotics club, I was exposed to various mechanical systems and drives , electrical and electronic components, and software programs like ROS 2.But the major exposure was to using linux operating system as advanced user .TbhI had already some experience checking out distro and going to the depths of settings to optimise my laptop even before joining college. My old laptop being a low-powered one was my incentive to jumping to Linux ship in the first place.Now that ROS requires Ubuntu based OS , I explored automations using bash scripts and making services and cron jobs which runs when certain criteria is met.I also explored Selenium library which empowered me in bringing browsers into the game.

By the third year, I was exposed to image processing algorithms, path following algorithms and project management.Project Management and Time Management became my focus as I felt that improvement in those two can have a ripple effect in all other fields.I had also started taking part in public events such as worksops and competitions improving my communication and team-building skills.B

What I Do

I build Graphical and Terminal interfaces for the robotic applications while helping in Mechanical Design and co-ordinating cross-disciplinary teams . I am currently exploring Industrial robots as a part of undergrad project.
